Suffragan Bishop Twilley Pastor George D. Twilley, Sr. was born and raised in the Washington metropolitan area. He was baptized in the name of Jesus at the Way Back to Pentecost Church on June 19, 1985. He was baptized with God’s Holy Ghost the very next day. In June 1994, he acknowledged the call to ministry and delivered his initial trial sermon, “I Am A Believer.” He served as a faithful member of the True Apostolic Church for twenty years under the leadership of the late District Elder Charlie L. Plummer, D.D., and Pastor James H. Plummer, Sr. Elder Twilley initiated the Early Sunday Morning Prayer and Friday All- Night Prayer services. His service also includes tenures as an Usher, Deacon, Brotherhood President, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Minister, Trustee and Ministry Administrator. In 2001, Elder Twilley received his Bachelors of Biblical Studies from Logos Christian College.

Heeding to the call of God, in 2010 Pastor Twilley launched Faith, Hope & Charity Ministries. The church’s mission is to teach, promote and demonstrate the love of God through love, fellowship, and service towards one another. Many souls have been led to Christ through Pastor Twilley’s anointed preaching and practical teaching ministries.

Pastor Twilley has served as a faithful member of the DC, Delaware and Maryland District Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (PAW). He is a former council usher and served as Sunday School Superintendent. In 2013, he was appointed as Council Coordinator. Later that year he was elected President of Region II of the International Christian Education Association of the PAW. He was elevated to “District Elder” in the Council in 2016. The Lord continues to show favor upon him with his elevation to “Suffragan Bishop” and appointment as Council Chairman in 2024.

Pastor Twilley has been married to First Lady Lynette Twilley for over forty years. They are the parents of two children, Ebony (Derrick) and George, Jr. They are also the doting grandparents of two grandsons, Jaamir and Josiah.
